Diagnostic Imaging for Everyone

Most scans are bulk billed to Medicare on your behalf however there are a number of procedures that attract an out of pocket cost. Please clarify with our staff before your appointment. Capital Radiology provides online claims to Medicare for your convenience.

Workcover, Employers and TAC

If you are a Workcover or TAC claimant we will invoice your agent directly, but should the invoice be rejected or remain unpaid for 3 months then an invoice will be sent to you for immediate payment.

DVA gold cardholders will be covered for most services. White cardholders are requested to seek authorisation from DVA prior to attending our clinics to ensure that DVA will pay the costs of service.

Pensioners and Concession Card holders

Pensioners and health care card holders will be Bulk Billed for all items covered under the Medicare schedule, although some items, surgical procedures and examinations not covered under Medicare may incur a cost. Please present your entitlement card on arrival at the clinic and be sure to speak with one of our staff members regarding your procedure and if it may incur a cost.

International Patients

We do not accept overseas insurance policies or reciprocal Medicare card holders.  In this instance it will be your responsibility to pay at the time of service.  An invoice and receipt will be provided.

Capital Radiology has private billing arrangements with several health insurers, enabling us to directly invoice the health insurers on your behalf.

There will be no out of pocket costs for privately insured patients, except non-rebatable MRI services and certain items that cannot be claimed through Medicare.  If for any reason your health insurer rejects your claim then you will be invoiced directly.

If you do not hold private health insurance you will be invoiced directly.
