The Victorian Work Cover Authority has 5 authorised Insurance agents, they are: Allianz Australia Workers' Compensation (Victoria) Limited, CGU Workers Compensation (Victoria) Limited, EML VIC Pty Ltd, Gallagher Bassett Services Workers Compensation Vic Pty Ltd and Xchanging.
Capital Radiology may issue an invoice to one of the abovementioned agents upon evidence of a current and accepted claim which covers Medical services.
Injections are deemed to be a surgical procedure and require pre-approval from your case manager. Please ensure you or your staff member seek the appropriate authorisation prior to the day of service.
Medicare do not provide a benefit for this service, in this case the claimant (employee) will receive a private rate invoice which is to be paid within 7 days.
Capital Radiology will provide imaging services to employees without a VWA claim number provided a letter covering the cost of the service is provided by the employer. If an authority letter cannot be provided prior to the service then the patient will be asked to settle the account on the day of service.
Pre-employment chest x-rays
Your company will receive a private invoice to settle within 7 days.
Medicare do not provide a benefit for this service, your company will receive a private rate invoice which is to be paid within 7 days.
Medicare do not cover imaging related to asbestos screening which is due to employment, an invoice will be sent to your company for payment within 7 days.
Capital may be able to invoice to the TAC on your behalf provided you can supply an accepted and current claim number which relates to your service.
The Victorian Transport Accident Commission will provide claimants with a claim number for a particular accident and injury. Prior to your service please ensure you have the necessary documentation to show that the service will be paid for by TAC.
Blood injections are not covered by TAC and are therefore invoiced to the patient for full payment on the day.
